JUAN LEGIDO LEGACY
Como artista de RCA VICTOR con “Los Churumbeles” o como solista, tuvo el placer de visitar toda Norte, Centro y Sudamérica, debutando con gran acogida en las ciudades principales y pueblos de países que hasta ahora aplauden su recuerdo con mucho cariño y admiración.
Fue tanta su gloria artística que yo mismo no pudiera saberlo con exactitud debido a mi edad; tal fue la expresión del Sr. Luís Alberto Monge (Ex-Presidente de Costa Rica (1982-1986) a quien tuve el placer de saludar vía telefónica el dia dieciséis de Febrero (año 2012) y muy amablemente compartió conmigo unas palabras de elogio hacia mi padre también las veces que fue a verlo a sus presentaciones y lo que significó en tanto en Costa Rica como en otros paises...
Logró rótulos como “El Creador De El Beso y No Te Puedo Querer”, “El Embajador De La canción Española” y “El Gitano Señorón” siendo este último el más preponderante, debido a la personalidad y carisma con que exhibía su interpretación.
En su género, su estilo de voz se hizo único; “talvez hubiera sido como escuchar a Carlos Gardel interpretando “Adiós Muchachos" con el acento y eco gitano de Manolo Caracol o a Manolo Caracol entonando “La Niña De Fuego” con el timbre de Carlos Gardel, quizás a Concha Piquer en los tonos graves de Bing Crosby o a Bing Crosby cantando las tonadillas de Concha Piquer”, ¡En Fin Único!
Su actuación escénica era como un torero con donaire y chispas de comediante; siempre proyectaba mucha personalidad y elegancia; dominaba el escenario con profesionalismo y a la vez con naturalidad.
(Años 1954-1955) Vuelve a grabar con el acompañamiento del maestro Miguel Ángel Serralde para RCA VICTOR en la añorada isla de Cuba donde lo esperaban con aplausos y bienvenidas, confirmando el éxito que tuvo cuando llegó por primera vez contratado con “Los Churumbeles de España”.
Sus grabaciones también incluyen tangos que junto con sus coplas y pasodobles se escuchaban con intensidad en la radio y vitrolas de la isla en aquella época; ganando así disco de oro por el tango español "Solo” timbrando en el corazón de familias cubanas un recuerdo que traspasó generaciones.
(Año 1956-1957) Juan Legido “El Gitano Señorón” cantante español de gran cartel, con varios reconocimientos y un disco de oro por el tango “Solo”, ahora firma un contrato para grabar en Buenos Aires, Argentina para el sello discográfico Odeón. Se siente muy feliz de grabar en Argentina, ya que lo relacionaba con el recuerdo de su madre escuchando por la radio a Carlos Gardel, artista que él también admiraba.
Con una brillante actuación en los escenarios y estupenda voz como lo caracterizaba, festeja al distinguido público argentino con el que compartió en sus presentaciones y entrevistas por año y medio aproximadamente; grabando dieciséis temas con el acompañamiento musical del maestro italiano Ferruccio Marzan también director de la orquesta de “Radio El Mundo”. Como artista de Odeón en Argentina, realizó presentaciones en Montevideo Uruguay donde también es recibido muy cordialmente.
“Mi padre fue un amante del tango y en varias entrevistas que concedía, hacía mención de ello, comentando que al inició de su carrera en Madrid interpretó muchos tangos”. “Un anécdota... estando en la Argentina fue cuando se acercan unos comentaristas del tango y le dicen ¡“gallego” vos cantas el tango de maravilla! pero eso de pronunciar la z como que no va, ¿viste?”.
(Año 1958) Con gratos recuerdos de Argentina y copa de triunfos vuelve a grabar en México para el sello discográfico mexicano Orfeón con el cual llegó a realizar más de ochenta grabaciones, las cuales no podía faltar el genero de Paso Doble, recopilando sus triunfos pasados y añadiendo otros temas del cancionero español y mexicano a su discografía, con el acompañamiento del maestro Miguel Ángel Serralde.
Participando en giras de artistas representadas por una empresa reconocida de la época, compartió con compañeros del medio artístico mexicano, entre los cuales se encontraba el muy recordado canta autor José Alfredo Jiménez a quien mi padre estimó, grabando así varios temas de sus composiciones rancheras.

As an artist of RCA VICTOR with "Los Churumbeles" or as solist, he had the pleasure of visiting all of North, Central and South America, debuting with great success in the major cities and towns of countries which applaud his memory until now with much love and admiration.
Such was his artistic glory that I could not know with exactitude, due to my age; such was the expression of Mr. Luis Alberto Monge (Former President of Costa Rica (1982-1986) whom I had the pleasure of greeting by phone on the sixteenth day of February (year 2012) and kindly shared with me a few elogy words about my father also the times he asisted to his presentations and what it meant in Costa Rica and other countries as well ...
He achieved titles as "El Creador del Beso and No Te Puedo Querer", "The Ambassador Of The Spanish Song" and "El Gitano Senoron" being this last one the most predominant, because of the personality and charisma with which he exhibited his interpretation.
In his genre, his style of voice became unique, "perhaps it would have been like listening to Carlos Gardel interpreting "Adiós Muchachos" with the accent and gypsy echo of Manolo Caracol or Manolo Caracol singing "La Niña De Fuego" with the tone of Carlos Gardel, perhaps Concha Piquer in deep tones of Bing Crosby or Bing Crosby singing the tunes of Concha Piquer "¡After all Unique!
His performance on stage was as a toreador with gracefulness and sparkles of a comedian, always projecting a lot of personality and elegance; he dominated the stage with natural professionalism.
(Years 1954-1955) He records again with the musical accompaniment of maestro Miguel Angel Serralde for RCA Victor in the longed Island of Cuba where he was waited with applauses and welcomings, confirming the success he had when he first arrived with "Los Churumbeles de España."
His recordings also included tangos that together with his coplas and pasodobles were heard with intesity on the radio and phonographs of the island at that time, achieving a gold record for the spaniard tango "Solo" ringing in the heart of the cuban families a memory that traspassed generations.

With a brilliant performance on stage and great voice that characterized him, celebrates the distinguished Argentinian audiance with whom he shared in his presentations and interviews for a year and a half, recording sixteen tracks with the musical accompaniment of the Italian maestro Ferruccio Marzan also the orchestra driector of "Radio El Mundo". As an artist of Odeon in Argentina, he made presentations in Montevideo Uruguay where he is also very warmly received."

(Year 1958) With fond memories of Argentina and cup of triumphs he returns to Mexico to sign with the mexican label Orfeón acomplishing over eighty recordings, which could not miss the genre of Paso Doble, collecting his past triumphs and adding other themes of the spanish and mexican song book to his discography, with accompaniment of maestro Miguel Angel Serralde.
